Pat Ankrom
As the son of Custom Knifemaker, W.E. “Bill” Ankrom, I grew up with and developed an appreciation for fine custom knives. As a Carpenter, building exhibits for a large, internationally renowned museum I grew to enjoy the appearance and feel of a finely figured piece of wood. And finally, as a Penturner, the focus of my interest was steered in the direction of fine, highly figured exotic hardwoods  from around the globe.

I was first introduced to stabilized woods many years ago and the seed of an idea was planted. Over time, the idea grew. I researched the stabilization process and purchased equipment. I experimented with techniques and continued to refine my skills through the process of trial and error. Today, that seed of an idea has come to grow and blossom into Ankrom Exotics, the perfect union of several interests in my life. 
 

Lynn Atwell

Lynn is a longtime, self-proclaimed “computer geek” and the brains behind this website and everything you are currently looking at. She is an integral part of Ankrom Exotics and to put it bluntly she is the life’s blood of the day to day operation of this business.

From website design and maintenance to bookkeeping and shipping, she keeps things running smoothly. I couldn’t do it without her and these words don’t come close to expressing the debt of gratitude I owe her.
